University Park Campus and USC Village are closed to “everyone” amid an ongoing pro-Palestinian protest outside the Shrine Auditorium on Royal Street and Jefferson Boulevard, a TrojansAlert message announced Sunday evening.

Demonstrators are protesting Pomona College’s commencement ceremony, which is taking place at the Shrine Auditorium.

Pomona moved its commencement off campus after pro-Palestinian groups set up an encampment on the stage intended for the ceremony. Protesters are calling on Pomona to divest from “all institutions that aid the ongoing occupation of Palestine” and call for a ceasefire in Gaza.

A broad coalition of pro-Palestinian groups are collaborating in the protest at Shrine Auditorium, including Students for Justice in Palestine, Pomona Divest from Apartheid and the USC Divest from Death Coalition, which recently contributed to USC’s “Gaza Solidarity Occupation.”
