The next presidential election is on Nov. 5, and the race for the White House is tighter than ever. Fortunately, there is still time to register to vote, and you can do so either under your home or University address.

If you plan to vote in-person in Houghton, you can register online by Oct. 21 or in-person anytime before Election Day. After registering locally, you may vote in-person early or on Election Day. Visit michigan.gov/sos/elections/voting/early-in-person-voting to find out how to vote early.

If you plan to register under a home address outside of Michigan, make sure to check your state’s registration deadlines. If you are voting by mail, you should request your ballot at least two weeks beforehand, then fill it out and mail it back as soon as possible to ensure your vote is counted.
