Police responded to a noise complaint call at 1670 Alder St. — the location of the Campbell Club student co-op — at 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, where they arrested 23 people for various charges, according to a Eugene Police Department press release.

When the police responded to the address, residents would not comply with officers, so a “telephonic search warrant” was requested. In this case, the warrant was granted by a municipal court judge, and residents then opened the door voluntarily after deciding to cooperate.

After police finished their search, 14 residents were taken into custody and stayed the night in the Lane County Jail after being charged with prohibited noise — where six of those 14 were also cited for interfering with police in addition to one resident cited with resisting arrest. Another nine residents received citations in lieu of custody for prohibited noise, and eight minors received MIP citations.
