ATLAS Speaker Series: How Open Source Software is Changing Technology

ATLAS always manages to bring some of the best events to campus that no one has heard of. This week be sure to check out Stormy Peters, a former Mozilla employee, who will speak about how the development of technology is changing in the fast-paced, 21st century environment. The event starts at 4 p.m. in the ATLAS building.

Tuesday, Feb. 19

Crash Course: Bootstrapping

Boulder is one of the best places to create a start-up company. Come check out several representatives from various local start-ups talk about how to fund your ambitious project. Speakers will be there, and some of them are CU alums.

Wednesday, Feb. 20

“The Big Lebowski” at the Boulder Theater

Everyone loves “The Dude.” Come see him and the rest of the outlandish cast of this cult-classic on the big screen at the Boulder Theater. Tickets are $10. If anything, it will be worth it just to bring the room together.

Friday, Feb. 22

Kris Allen at Old Main

Now that Nicki Minaj is a judge on American Idol, the show may have lost some of its draw or any semblance of credibility that it had left.  And although American Idol may have also lost its novelty in recent years, it is still a big deal to see a winner in person. Be sure to check out Allen, who is as talented as they come.

Saturday, Feb. 23

Colorado Chamber Players: Revolutionary Times

Don’t feel like going to the Hill this weekend? Need some rest and relaxation? Try something different, and head to the Boulder Public Library for a little culture this weekend. The CCP will be performing a short play about the Revolutionary War complete with a soundtrack that includes plenty of Haydn, for you classical music lovers.
