After conversing with Dr. André Thomas, it’s hard to pin him as one of the most accomplished professors in the College of Music at Florida State. Thomas walks with a gentle gait, smiles at you with warmth and gives off absolutely no sense of elitism. He’s genuinely interested in who you are and what you have to say, and that quality makes for a fast friend. As accomplished Chorus Director of the Tallahassee Community Chorus and a Professor of Choral Music Education at FSU, Thomas’ accomplishments is reason to walk with a stiff upper lip, but the music man cannot be more down to earth.
