Four Oregon pitchers combined for 15 strikeouts to lead the No. 14 Ducks to a 3-1 non-conference win over Portland last night at PK Park.

Oregon’s 15 strikeouts were the most by the Ducks since UO pitchers fanned 17 in a 12-inning win at Hawaii on Feb. 18, 2012.

It’s not March yet, but Minnesota doesn’t care.

Last night the Golden Gophers took down No. 1 Indiana 77-73. Trevor Mbakwe had 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Gophers to a win over the top-ranked Hoosiers.

College basketball this season has been unpredictable, with the Hoosier’s loss being the seventh time the No. 1 team in The Associated Press’ poll has lost a game this season.

Tomorrow night Oregon basketball faces Oregon State in the last home game of the season. The Oregonian’s Adam Jude discusses how E.J. Singler expects an emotional senior night.

Singler, the only Oregon player who has spent four seasons with the program, will be one of four seniors honored during a ceremony following the game.

The Ducks will also honor seniors Tony Woods, Carlos Emory and Arsalan Kazemi, All three players have transferred into the program the past two years.

A league source confirmed to ESPN.com’s John Clayton, that the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to trade quarterback Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Terms of the trade, which can’t officially be completed until March 12 when the 2013 league year begins, weren’t immediately available.

The trade agreement was first reported by Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer on Twitter.
