Just five strokes behind Northwestern (fourth place), the Ducks (369-354-361=1084) carded a four-over par. No. 1 California (346-348-343=1037) finished the event out on top with Fresno State following in second. Despite California winning the event with a 37 stroke advantage, the Ducks took advantage of another great opportunity to prove themselves on the national level. With the competitive play in the Pac-12, the Ducks will have their chances to improve in every event they compete in.

Leading the way for the Ducks was sophomore Jonathan Woo (71-69-70=210), who finished the event with a six-under par. Woo finished in a tie for seventh place and carded the best round for the Ducks on Tuesday with a two-under par. Freshman Sulman Raza (75-70-69=214) shot a two-under par to finish in a tie for 17th and Zach Foushee (72-71-73=216) finished the event with an even par as he finished in a tie for 24th place overall.

Taking the individual crown home was Michael Kim of California, who shot a 16-under to finish out the two-day event.

On the horizon. The Ducks will take the next few days off before heading to the three-day Bandon Dunes Championship in Bandon Dunes, Ore., which begins on March 8.

After three rounds of play at the Juli Inkster Invitational in San José, Calif., the UO women’s golf team finished in seventh place. In a pool of 14 teams, the Ducks had one of their better finishes of the year and continue to improve against some of the best competition in the country. San José State hosted the two-day three-round event.

In the final round of play, the Ducks (298-304-312-914) carded a 24-over 312 at the 6,223 yard, par-72 course. Leading the way for the Ducks was freshman Cassy Isagawa (76-72-73-221), who shot a one-over 73 on Tuesday. This was the best individual round for the Ducks as Isagawa moved up six spots to finish in a tie for fifth place. Isagawa has played consistently well all year long for a struggling Ducks team, and she will be the key to their success moving forward. Cali Hipp (76-72-80-228) also finished strong as she carded an eight-over 80 as she finished in a tie for 23rd place.

After leading the event day one, Mariah Stackhouse (70-71-71-212) of Stanford remained in the top spot after shooting a one-under today. Following Stackhouse were San José State’s Regan De Guzman’s (74-72-72-218) in second place and UC Irvine’s Luciane Lee (71-74-75-220) and Cal’s Hannah Suh (76-69-75-220) in a tie for third.

Finishing the event in first place was Stanford (287-291-300-878), who shot a 14-over 878 in three rounds of play. Just behind Stanford were Washington (300-290-299-889), who finished in second place and NC State (299-297-301-897) and California (291-296-310-897) in a tie for third place overall.

On the horizon. The Ducks will now take a couple of weeks off before heading to the Anuenue Spring Break Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawaii. The event will be held from March 25-27.
