Consider an Olympiad of drinking games. Whoever wins gets first pick, second place gets next pick and so on. This can be done through a beer Olympics or a game that doesn’t even involve drinking, such as a civilized game of Mario Kart. Or if you’re feeling classic, you can draw straws.

If your group is willing to make this into a debate, take into consideration a few major factors. Who is the cook in the house? They should likely be closest to the kitchen. Loud boyfriend/girlfriend visits? Keep them downstairs and in an isolated corner room. Early bird classmate? They should also be considered for the isolated corner. Just be willing to compromise or argue for your own stake in this room roulette.
