New Mexico State (24-10, 14-4) finished third in the WAC during the regular season, but secured an automatic bid by rattling off three-straight wins in Las Vegas to take the conference tournament.

The Aggies are the tallest team in the nation with a roster featuring seven players who are at least 6-7. Their center, Sim Bhullar, is one of the tallest players in the nation at 7-5. Bhullar, a freshman out of Toronto, averages over 10 points and six boards per game.

As a team, New Mexico St. averages just 68 points per game ,but it shoots the ball at a 46 percent clip (46th in the nation) and pulls in nearly 38 rebounds per game (46th in the nation).

The Midwest is undoubtedly the toughest of the four regions with the overall No. 1 seed in Louisville, as well as Duke (2), Michigan State (3), Pac-12 champion Oregon (12) and Missouri Valley champion Creighton (7).

The other half of SLU’s “quad” features Oklahoma St. (5) versus Oregon (12).

Saint Louis U. will take on New Mexico St. on Thursday at HP Pavilion in San Jose. A starting time has yet to be announced.
