Can women have it all? No. Can men have it all? No. The only living things that can have it all are lap dogs, particularly Teacup Malteses.  I’m not saying that women don’t often end up with the short end of the stick. They do. I’m not saying women don’t often end up sacrificing more than men in the work-family dynamic. They do. What I am saying is that there will never be a point in our lives when everything is perfect; when we don’t have to make any sacrifices; when we have it all.

Can women have it all? It’s a dead end question; it’s a pointless question; it’s a fantasy question because no one can ever have it all. What we should be asking is how can we support women with managing work and family and life better not how we can have it all.
