For the Cougars’ fifth game of the season against Memphis, the program decided Friday that the setting will be BBVA Compass Stadium at 11 a.m. on Oct. 12.
The only game left to decide will be against Cincinnati on Nov 23., as UH is still in negotiation with the Rice Athletic Department officials. The location of the game is set to be announced when the stadium contract is signed.
“We are appreciative of BBVA Compass Stadium and the Houston Dynamo for letting us call their state-of-the-art facility our home for one Saturday this fall,” said Mack Rhoades, the vice president for Intercollegiate Athletics. “The facility provides an intimate location for our fan base without a bad seat in the house, giving our fans the opportunity to provide a raucous home field advantage. The game day experience will be truly exciting as the stadium’s location and 11 a.m. kickoff gives us the opportunity to hold a block party and fan fest throughout the day.
“We also would like to thank the Rice Athletics Department for its cooperation as we complete the process to hold our game against Cincinnati at Rice Stadium on Nov. 23.”
