For weeks, voices of Talib Kweli, activist Jesse Jackson and singer, actor and civil rights icon Harry Belafonte have rung out in unison with those of the Dream Defenders. Now Kweli, known for the social consciousness of his lyrics, is lending his support by sitting-in with the Defenders last Friday.
