In addition, Oregon had a total of 687 yards on offense and had 29 first downs for the day. Here are a few moments that stood out:

First Quarter

After appearing shaky on offense at the start of the game, Oregon got in their rhythm with Marcus Mariota finding true-freshman Johnny Mundt for a 16-yard touchdown, giving the Ducks a 10-7 lead in the first. Oregon’s first touchdown of the game was also a first of Mundt’s college career.

Second Quarter

Although Mariota had a 45-yard touchdown pass to Daryle Hawkins and De’Anthony Thomas rushed for 28 yards to the end zone, highlighting the second quarter for the Ducks was Josh Huff’s 54-yard touchdown. Huff finished the game with six catches for 125 yards and one touchdown.

Third Quarter

Running backs Byron Marshall and true-freshman Thomas Tyner saw action in the third quarter, with both backs picking up touchdowns. After not having a stand-out performance in Virginia, Marshall scored an 11-yard rushing touchdown, to give Oregon a 52-7 lead. Coming off his first ever game and touchdown last week, Tyner picked up another one on his birthday today, rushing for two yards to the end zone.

Fourth Quarter

Tennessee was the only team that scored in the fourth with Alden Hill’s eight-yard run. Although Oregon didn’t put any more points on the board, fans got to see Ayele Forde run the ball, as well as Jeff Lockie take over at the quarterback position for Mariota.
