Junior Courtney Ferguson surged into 63rd place Tuesday afternoon with a score of 148 after the second round of the SDSU Farms Invitational.
Starting on hole No. 10, Ferguson birdied two of her first four holes and added only two bogeys on her scorecard for the final 14 holes. After shooting a tough 86 in Monday’s first round, Ferguson claimed the team lead with her 36-hole score.
With only two student athletes competing, the Cougars will not be eligible for the team title on the 6,237-yard, par-72 course at The Farms Golf Club.
