Police Beat: Week April 28-29

Tuesday, April 28

9:00 a.m.: Criminal Investigations arrested, Randall Keith Hamilton, 44, Portal, Ga., and charged him with Financial Transaction Card Fraud 1 count in reference to an incident that occurred on March 31.

10:14 a.m.: Officers responded to the School of Human Ecology in reference to a sick person. EMS responded but did not transport.

2:00 p.m.: An incident report was taken for found property at Dining Commons.

3:38 p.m.: A motor vehicle accident report was taken for a motor vehicle accident in Paulson Parking.

7:37 p.m.: A motor vehicle accident report was taken for a motor vehicle accident in J-Lot.

10:56 p.m.: Officers responded to a burglar alarm at the College of Education. The burglar alarm was accidentally activated by an employee.

12:10 a.m.: Officers responded to a panic alarm at Watson Pods. The panic alarm was accidentally activated by an occupant.

5:32 a.m.: An incident report was taken for harassment at Freedom’s Landing. Housing was advised and will coordinate a roommate discussion.

 

Wednesday, April 29

8:31 a.m.: Officers made contact with a subject at the Henderson Library. The subject was banned from the campus.

2:17 p.m.: Officers responded to a fire alarm at Kennedy Hall. The fire alarm was activated by dust.

3:04 p.m.: An incident report was taken for lost/mislaid property at Southern Pines.

3:32 p.m.: Officers made contact with a subject on Sweetheart Circle. The subject was banned from the campus.

4:32 p.m.: Officer conducted a welfare check at the Counseling Center.

7:16 p.m.: An incident report was taken for lost/mislaid property at the RAC.

11:25 p.m.: Officers responded to Dining Commons in reference to a verbal altercation. Officer’s mediated the argument.
