Caitlin is this year’s chair for the UO Relay for Life and runs a 30-member committee to create and promote events on campus for the American Cancer Society.

Why are you at the UO?

Honestly, I picked it because of the sports. But as I went through my years as a human physiology major, I quickly realized that I had picked the best program that I could have possibly imagined. My experience in the cadaver lab and knowledge I was able to gain cannot be replaced by any other school.

How do you want to change the world?

I want to make a difference in a lot of peoples’ lives in personal ways. I want to know people on a deeper level, rather than rushing through patients trying to remain in the system.

What has been the best part of your college experience?

I would say that the best part of my college experience has been opening my own personal training studio and meeting my best friend, Jenna. I wouldn’t change the growing up I have done from being a small business owner and the amount of love I have for her like a sister. These bonds will last a lifetime.
