Studs Terkel’s book “Working: People Talk About What They Do All Day and How They Feel About What They Do” doesn’t make for a riveting musical in itself.
Instead, it’s what directors Lisa Channer and Samantha Johns capture in their production that takes a seemingly dull piece of literature and turns it into an inventive commentary on the working class.
As a part of its 2014-15 main stage season, the University of Minnesota Department of Theater Arts and Dance is performing “Working,” the musical based off Terkel’s book.
