UH has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for the second year in a row, retaining its spot as the only public Texas institution to do so.

Selected as a member of the Honor Roll with Distinction, UH was chosen for hosting community projects such as the Graduate College of Social Work’s Office of Field Education, Houston Public Media and UH College of Optometry’s Mobile Eye Institute.

Other notable UH initiatives include UH’s Bonner Leaders Program Campus Kitchen, the Martin Luther King Day of Service and Campus Community Garden.
