Top 5 NFL QBs going into week four

Not last year, not overall, but solely this year.

Feel free to disagree but this is just my top five from what I have been observing this NFL season.

First lets start off with number five.

People may look at me like I am crazy but I have to give this spot to Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton.

Andy Dalton this season has been as hot as his hair color, red-hot.

Going into week four of the season he has thrown eight touchdowns and only one interception.

So not only has he been avoiding turnovers he has been slinging the rock with authority having eight touchdowns on the year.

Dalton is sixth in the league in passing yards and has helped lead his team to a 3-0 start.

At number four I have Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.

This one should not be so shocking because Matt Ryan has not been terrible since he’s entered the league.

But this year he has been on point.

A lot has to do with star WR Julio Jones and finally a solid running game but Matt Ryan has been helping out the Falcons tremendously this year.

Has not thrown that many touchdown passes (5) but is second in the league right now in passing yards. Falcons are also 3-0 due to Matt Ryan’s success

Number three is easily the hardest position to rank for me right now.

But I truly believe right now, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is the third best in the league right now.

Unfortunately for the Steelers he his facing an injury right now and is out for a while but, the three games he has played he has been great.

Big Ben is third in the league in passing yards and though his team is 2-1, he still proves that he is one of the best in the league even with an average wide receiving group.

That group is at average for star WR Antonio Brown. Aside from him they would be awful.

Secondly, I have arguably the greatest quarterback of all time, the New England Patriots golden boy, Tom Brady.

Tom Brady is playing precise and is looking better than he ever has before.

Leads the league in passing yards by a landslide, was first in the league with nine passing touchdowns and even more impressive, he has thrown zero interceptions.

This man is upset at the NFL for tainting his name and he’s taking it out on the league.

Last but not least, the best quarterback in the NFL based off this season I would have to say is the discount double-check bad man himself, Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers has been arguably the best QB in the NFL for the past five seasons.

He is deadly accurate and at home, almost unbeatable.

Though having a very mediocre wide receiver set to throw too, he makes the best out of it and still plays unbelievably.

He has thrown ten touchdowns in three games with no interceptions.

The man is on fire and he doesn’t seem to be burning out any time soon.

With that being said this was kind of hard for me to decide because there are other quarterbacks in the game this year who is also playing at a high level.

For example, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has been magnificent this year also.

I did not choose him in the top five because that teams defense has a lot to do with their success.

I am not taking anything away from Palmer but due to the defense being so good it kind of makes me a little reluctant to have him in the top five.

Another quarterback who I feel I could have put in the top five is Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

I personally have always been a fan of him and this year he did not play too bad.

Unfortunately for him and his team he has been injured again with a colloar bone injury and so for that I didn’t put him up there.

He did play well but to top the five other quarterbacks that I mentioned? Not a chance.

I do plan on doing more of these as the season progresses but I do not believe there will be much change to this top five this season.

Overall it should be a really interesting season.
