Environment: “I don’t think you’d notice if the whole department was gone tomorrow,” he believes that our one-size-fits-all approach is leaving kids behind. He wants to abolish Common Core and give control back to the states, localities and parents. He wants to abolish the department of education.

Marijuana: Doesn’t promote marijuana but doesn’t want to jail non-violent criminals

Guns: Paul is a passionate defender of the Second Amendment.

LGBT: “While I disagree with Supreme Court’s redefinition of marriage, I believe that all Americans have the right to contract.”

Fact check: ”The Fourth Amendment was what we fought the Revolution over. John Adams said it was the spark that led to our war for independence.” This fact was said to be “mostly true” by politifact.com. The fourth amendment was ratified in 1791, which was about a decade and a half after the American Revolution began. Although Paul is partially right because the issues discussed in the fourth amendment were factors that partially sparked the revolution.
