— Oregon baseball dropped back-to-back games to Gonzaga on Monday and Tuesday at P.K. Park. The Ducks lost 9-7 on Monday and 5-4 on Tuesday.

— The Prefontaine Classic, set to take place May 27-28 at Hayward Field, announced the field for the Bowerman Mile on Monday. The world-class field includes former Duck Matthew Centrowitz, the 2016 World Indoor Champion in the 1,500-meter race, and future Duck Drew Hunter, 18, who has the third-best U.S. high school time ever with a time of 3 minutes, 57.81 seconds. The field includes five runners with entry times under 3:50, headlined by Djibouti’s Ayanleh Souleiman (3:47.32).

— The Oregon women’s basketball team has an opening for director of basketball operations. The program’s spokesman Joe Waltasti said Monday that Stephenie Wheeler-Smith, who held the position for the last two seasons, “is pursuing other job opportunities and won’t be back with the Ducks next year.”

— Lacrosse’s Alison Scharkey recently saw her prolific Oregon career come to a close, but she kept busy in the week that followed with production of the second-annual “O Show.” Then, she flew to Arizona to participate in Pac-12 meetings as a member of the Student-Athlete Leadership Team.

“She’s one of the leaders in all of athletics,” Oregon track and field’s T.J. Brassil said. “She’s poised. She’s someone you want to follow. If I follow behind her, it’s like, ‘I got this.’”

— Oregon track and field’s Raevyn Rogers is running for the Ducks at a blistering pace this season. Just a sophmore, she’s already earned a qualifying time for the U.S. Olympics Trials in Eugene on July 1-10.
