Two key pieces from Oregon’s Elite Eight run are returning to Eugene.

Dillon Brooks and Tyler Dorsey have withdrawn from the 2016 NBA Draft, Jon Rothstein of CBSSports.com reported Wednesday morning.

Last weekend, both Brooks and Dorsey worked out with the Denver Nuggets. Both declared for the NBA Draft but did not receive NBA Combine invitations. Wednesday was the final day to withdraw and return to school.

Neither Brooks nor Dorsey was projected as a first-round pick. Brooks will be a junior next season for the Ducks while Dorsey will return for his sophomore season.

The duo, along with Casey Benson and Chris Boucher, figures to give Oregon a good chance at defending its 2015-16 Pac-12 title.

The Ducks also return Jordan Bell, Roman Sorkin and Kendall Small. Oregon is still waiting to hear whether Villanova transfer Dylan Ennis will be granted a sixth season of NCAA eligibility. Ennis played in two games for Oregon last season.

Because both Brooks and Dorsey entered the draft without agents, they were able to retain their amateur status and return to school without penalty. Dorsey was ranked the No. 56 prospect by ESPN; Brooks was No. 100.
