Shooting reported in Engineering IV building, campus on lockdown

University police recommend students stay indoors, after students reported hearing gunshots in the Engineering IV building Wednesday morning.

UCPD Lt. Richard Davis said students told UCPD they heard a loud noise and gun shellings drop. Davis added he did not know when students first reported the incident.

UCLA released a Bruin Alert about 9:52 a.m. informing students to find a secure location and lock entry.

UCLA spokesperson Ricardo Vasquez said police at the scene confirmed two victims. The shooters are believed to be a man and a woman, according to police scanner conversations.

Vasquez added all campus buildings are on lockdown.

The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed descriptions of the shooters or any injuries.This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
