Late Saturday evening, the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office recovered the body of an adult man from the Mississippi River, according to the University of Minnesota Police Department.
Officials are awaiting identification of the body by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office.
On Friday, an ongoing investigation was underway for a missing person, according to a campus-wide public safety alert emailed by UMPD.
In the notice, UMPD stated that 55-year-old Rinzin Dorjee was reported missing by a coworker at the University late Thursday night.
