The price to watch both games is a $10 donation to the American Red Cross Wildfire Fund via cash or check only. There will be no television, stream or radio broadcast of this event.

“The NCAA has given us a unique opportunity to give back to our state, and we are honored to be able to do that,” Oregon men’s head coach Dana Altman said in a statement. “We want to encourage those fans who are coming to Eugene for the football game to come early and watch basketball for a good cause.”

The women’s team will take the court first in a game against the Portland State Vikings at 9:30 a.m. and the men’s team will play the Idaho Vandals at 11 a.m.

“This is a great opportunity for our fans to get a look at two exciting teams,” Oregon women’s head coach Kelly Graves said in the statement. “While at the same time, we are joining forces with Portland State to help with the recovery efforts in the fire-damaged areas of our great state.”

The doors to Matthew Knight Arena will open at 9:00 a.m. and all seating is general admission. The teams will compete during four 10-minute quarters and there will be a five-minute halftime intermission during each game. The game will also feature shortened timeouts with the hope of ending the event by 12:30 p.m. giving fans who wish to head to Autzen Stadium for the football game plenty of time to do so.
