Colorado State University Pueblo football wins the final home game of the 2022 season against South Dakota Mines at the Thunderbowl stadium.

On Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, fans filled the ThunderBowl Stadium to cheer on the CSU Pueblo football team for the final time this season. With a winning streak and a goal of making the playoffs, the players didn’t just come to play; they came to win. That is precisely what they did.

Daniel Bone (#7), Max Fine (#13), Andrew Cook (#17), and Jordan Jones (#28) were among the athletes who scored touchdowns, helping keep that streak going. With a 28-yard interception and an extra point made by Sullivan Moon (#90), Bone had the Thunderwolves on their feet. The game was celebrated and exciting as their winning streak advanced from five to six. With a final score of 45 to 20, they are one step closer to reaching their goal.

Not only were those in attendance celebrating the great win, but they also celebrated the Seniors who played in the ThunderBowl Stadium one last time. CSU Pueblo football seniors include: Alec Prince (#0), Max Gonzales (#2), Nickolas Bingham (#5), Hunter Raquet (#10), Max Fine (#13), Luke Conilogue (#24), Sean Colgan (#33), Mac Shaw (#37), Jonah Stupar (#60), Thayne Jackson (#69), Sean Johnson (#71), Elijah Reed (#74), Vaatofu Sauvao (#77), Cameron Marcucci (#76), Antonio Espinoza (#87), Tavian Robey (#91), Trey Botts (#92), Momar Fall (#94), and Keyshawn Gist (#99),

The Thunderwolves hope to keep their winning streak going next weekend as they play Black Hills State in Spearfish, SD. If they do, they have a high chance of securing their spot in the NCAA playoffs. Playoff placements will be announced on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022.
