Founded in 1921, The Lode is Michigan Tech’s oldest student organization. Our mission is to produce equitable and honest news in an accessible and reliable manner to the student body. The Lode publishes every Tuesday in print and online during the fall and spring semesters, and operates out of Walker 105 located in the Writing Center. 

Weekly meetings for the club are held Mondays at 8 p.m. in Walker 107 in the writing center. We are looking for reporters, writers, copyeditors, photographers, graphic designers, LodeTV crew members, comic designers, and marketing personnel. 

The Lode reports on topics relevant to the Michigan Tech student body including but not limited to sports, student government, campus life, university senate, and construction updates.
