Former Ole Miss Rebel Terrico White was No. 36 overall in the 2010 NBA Draft, in which he was selected to join the Detroit Pistons.
White was originally projected to be drafted second in round two.
He becomes the highest draft pick since Ansu Sesay in 1998, who was 30th overall to the Seattle Sonics. He is the first Rebel drafted since Justin Reed (2004), who went to the Boston Celtics at No. 40.
While at Ole Miss, White averaged 15.1 points per game as a sophomore and was the SEC Freshman of the Year in 2009.
Also drafted is Jarvis Varnardo of Mississippi State University, who was selected by the Miami Heat at No. 40 overall.
