Ute offensive linemen Caleb Schlauderaff and Zane Taylor were both named to the preseason Outland Trophy watch list.

The list, which is compiled by the Football Writers Association of America, included 63 linemen on both sides of the ball.

Two other linemen from the Mountain West Conference were named to the list: Matt Reynolds from BYU and Marcus Cannon from TCU, both offensive tackles.
The Outland Trophy is the third oldest trophy in college football and has been given out since 1946.
